Do a Good Turn Daily: Scouting for Food

Packs, Troops and Crews mark your calendars and plan on having a representative at October Roundtable. We will be distributing bags for Scouting for Food. This year's Scouting for Food dropping off bags will be November 3rd and food pick up will be November 10th. Please contact Dick Seip at relseip@ptd.net with any questions or concerns.

Circus is Coming to Town

The Cub Fall Fun Day is September 29th. It is circus themed. Webelos may stay overnight on the 29th with a parent.  The price for the day is $7.  It is $2 per person for the overnighter. For more information, please contact Dawn Phillips at drscouter@gmail.com.

Fall Camporee

Changed theme: No longer the Lewis and Clark expedition, but rather the Fall Camporee for Boy Scouts is the Jamboree on the Air. October 19-21st at Settlers Camp, Camp Trexler. It will be a fun filled weekend of Scout skills as well as HAM radio events and a full 24 hours on W3TSR, the Scout's own radio station. Fee is $10 for Scouts, $5 for adults. Fee includes event patch and camp ground. Food is done within troops/patrols. For more information contact Alan Lippincott at alipp@epix.net

EAGLE BOARD OF REVIEW NOTICE

Pocono District Board of Review is scheduled for the third Thursday of every month at the Monroe County Administration Offices located on Sixth Street between Main Street & Sarah Street, Stroudsburg.

Life Scouts must present their Eagle Scout Service Project to the Board of Review prior to beginning their project. Scouts should contact Mr. Elwood “Woody” Johnson, Chairman of the Eagle Board of Review, at (570) 595-7993 to be scheduled for review.

Life Scouts that have submitted their Eagle Scout application and completed project to the Council office will be contacted by Mr. Johnson for a scheduled time to appear for review.

Mrs. Terri Dougherty, District Advancement Chair, should be contacted at (570) 894-2866 in the event Mr. Johnson is unavailable.

Please remember when leaving a telephone message, speak clearly and slowly. Leave your name, troop number, and telephone number where you can be reached. When appearing before the Board of Review Scouts should be in full Class “A” uniform.
