The annual Boy Scout Golf Classic will be held on Monday October 1, 2007, at the prestigious Saucon Valley Country Club. Our committee headed up by chair Jim Deutsch (CEO of Team Capital Bank) continue to make great improvements to make this event one of the premier golf outings in northeastern Pennsylvania.

The event will begin with a drawing for three lucky foursomes to play at Oakmont Country Club (that same day!) at 8:30 AM, and be followed by breakfast at 8:45 AM.  The event will start at 10 AM with the traditional shotgun start.  Following the conclusion of play, players will be treated to a reception, lunchoen and awards.

Individual golfers, foursomes & hole sponsorships still exist, and are priced as follows: $750 per golfer or $3,000 per foursome (includes a tee sponsorship), or $500 to sponsor a hole on the course.

The Minsi Trails Council would like to extend a special thanks to our Golf Classic sponsors, without whom this event would not be successful:

Title Sponsors: Keystone Nazareth Bank & Trust
Ashley Development Corporation
New World Aviation
Breakfast Sponsor: United Health Care of PA
Luncheon Sponsor: Broughal and DeVito LLP
Reception Sponsor: Citigroup SmithBarney

Proceeds from the Boy Scout Golf Classic will be used in support of the Boy Scout’s ScoutReach, or Urban Scouting Program. This important initiative is designed to make sure Scouting is available for all youth, particularly those living in our inner cities or whose circumstances make in difficult to participate in “more traditional” scouting programs.

How does the ScoutReach Program and how it benefits young people?
