Also due November 7 are all unit orders for the Take Order sale and prize order forms. Unit Accident Insurance

Over the next two years the per person fee paid at recharter time for insurance coverage will be increasing. We are sorry for any problems this may bring, but due to increasing costs for coverage the need was necessary. This change is the first increase in accident insurance our council has faced in fifteen years. Starting December 2008 all individuals will pay $1.00 rather than the 80 cents normally paid. Then, starting December 2009 the per person fee will increase to $2.00.

Internet Rechartering

As 2008 nears end, it is once again time for rechartering. As many of you know, last year was the first time was our first “stab” at internet rechartering. While there were a few bumps in the road, for the most part it was a success. Many of you stated that you appreciated the chance to do most of the paperwork from the comfort of your own home. During the next few months, be on the lookout as you will be receiving information on the process to complete your 2009 paperwork.

Thank You from the Banys Family

I would like to say thanks for all the kindnesses we received at the recent passing of my father, Clem Banys. The cards, notes, phone calls, flowers, food and donations have meant much to my mother. My father would have been so proud of all the uniforms at the services. Its been a difficult time for all of us but it has been made easier by all the thoughtful gestures. Thanks Again, Dona Banys Fretz

Scouting for Food

Last year Scouting For Food (SFF) collected nearly 200,000 pounds of food to help feed the hungry. This year the need is even greater, so we’re hoping for an even larger turn out and higher food collection totals. All SFF materials were distributed at October Roundtables and each District is coordinating efforts of their units. Television and radio public service announcements as well as billboards are letting the public know about this important Scouting service project and asking for their food donation on November 8th Click here for additional information on Scouting for food. http://minsitrails.com/Documents/SFFInstructions-Reporting2008.pdf
